GENERAL STATEMENT OF SAFETY POLICY

1. The company recognises and accepts its responsibilities as an employer to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all its employees, and to provide such information, training and supervision as they need for this purpose. The Company also accepts its responsibilities for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by its activities.

2. The organisational arrangements for carrying out the policy, the responsibilities and the allocation of duties are set out in the Company’s Health & Safety Manual.

3. The Company will, as far as is reasonably practicable –

A- Ensure that health, safety and welfare are always taken into account when any changes are envisaged in services, methods of work, premises etc. or whenever consideration is being given to the purchase of new equipment, plant, vehicles etc.

B- Provide competent technical advice on safety and health matters where this is necessary, to assist line management in its task without detracting from the primary responsibility of managers and supervisors for ensuring safe conditions of work.

C- Co-operate fully in the appointment of safety representatives by recognised trade unions and will provide them where necessary with sufficient facilities and training to carry out this task. The Company will also co-operate in the setting up of a safety committee or committees, as appropriate.

4. The Company reminds its employees of their duties under Section 7 in the Health and Safety at Work Act to take care of their own safety and that of other workers, and to co-operate with the Company to enable it to carry out its own responsibilities successfully.

5. A copy of this statement will be issued to all employees. It will be reviewed and may be added to, or modified from time to time.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

1. The Company recognises that, excellence in environmental performance and compliance with all laws, regulations and permits applicable to our product; is consistent with our corporate objectives and essential to our continued business success.

2. The Company will ensure that, environmental policy’s, programmes and performance standards are an integral part of our planning and decision-making process.

3. The Company will regard sound environmental management as an integral part of our total quality commitment and to apply the principles and practice of continuous improvement accordingly.

4. We will be open and responsive to the environmental expectations and concerns of our employees, customers, government agencies and the public. We will provide clear and candid information about the environmental impact of our products, services and operations.

5. The Company will endeavour to design and construct all it’s facilities to minimise waste generation and promote energy efficiency and environmental protection.

6. We will design our products and services and their associated manufacturing and distribution processes, to minimise use of hazardous materials. Make efficient use of energy and other resources, and to enable recycling and reuse.

7. The Company will pursue a strategy that substantially reduces, or eliminates the generation of chemical and solid waste. We will aggressively pursue appropriate solutions to contamination, on or resulting from our sites.

8. Employees will be encouraged to be environmentally aware and feel responsible for the operation and business process.

9. The Company will, as a company, contribute to the shaping of public policy on sound business and scientific principles. Our suppliers support our environmental management policy and we encourage them to adopt similar principles.

10. A copy of this statement will be issued to all employees. It will be reviewed annually and may be added to or modified from time to time.
